Kiss & Makeup - On Location Hair & Makeup - FAQ

We cannot wait to be a part of your special day! Below are some Kiss & Makeup frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions please send us a message or inquiry :)


What do you require to book?

- We require a $100 deposit to lock in the date!!


How many weddings do you guys take a day?

- We take 1-2 weddings a day. We schedule them out with two separate finish times that are stated at the time of booking.


Where are you located?

- We have a salon suite in Downtown Northville. Other than that, we are on location only!


Do you have a minimum requirement of services?

- Yes, we require a minimum of 14 services to travel.


What about a maximum?

- Our maximum headcount is around 10 people. Sometimes, we can take a little more, but we do not like to.


Do you have a travel range?

- We only travel 40 minutes outside of our location. In the winter months, our travel range gets a little smaller due to the fact that Michigan is crazy and there is possibilities of snow.


Do you have an early/late start time available?

- Unfortunately, the earliest we start weddings is 7:30 am and our latest finish time is 3 pm. We have to take in consideration in travel distance, this is why we have strict start/finish times. Usually, the typical bridal party will start at 8 am and finish around 12 pm.


Do I need to bring anything on the day of the wedding?

- Just your pretty self :) also a lipstick, any hair accessories you may have, and maybe some translucent powder if you get a little oily!


Will we ever run behind?

- Thankfully, we have never ran behind at a wedding. We typically squeeze in some extra time in our timeline and always finish early?


What if my bridesmaids/moms are late?

- Unfortunately, we do not wait for people on the day of the wedding. We can keep moving them to the end of the timeline and if they are not there once we are finished than we cannot take them.


What is my timeline changes after booking?

- You would need to contact us ASAP to figure it out. Once booked, we create a plan and timeline so we know that we can accommodate the wedding with yours & our schedule. This information is crucial to get to us as soon as possible.


What do you guys specialize in?

- We specialize in GLAM :) but natural glam!!


What happens if I have my pets on location during hair and makeup?

- Unfortunately, we do not work in ANY locations with any animals!! It is also stated on your contract.


How many people are on your team?

- We used to have a larger team before COVID but we downsized our team to take more quality than quantity!! We have 2 girls :)


What is a bridal trial and do I really need one ? - Trials are where we meet for the first time, chat and go over the bridal look that you have chosen. You may love a photo you've found online and now is the time to see how it looks on you. Once perfected, notes and photos are taken as a reference, in which we bring on the wedding day. The trial ensures that we've perfected the look and ironed out the details in advanced. This is crucial to make sure that everything runs smoothly on your wedding day...no surprises.
